9 additional credits. Real estate is a major investment vehicle as well as a vital resource in the economy. The real estate specialty supplements the Financial Analysis and Investments concentration with general principles necessary for effective real estate decision-making. Courses are taught by faculty from UConn’s nationally renowned Center for Real Estate and Urban Economic Studies. The program provides students the flexibility to focus on areas of individual interest. The 16-month degree path is not guaranteed with this specialty; courses offered evenings/weekends.
9 Credits in any three courses from the following:
- FNCE 5532 Real Estate Investment and Portfolio Management
- FNCE 5533 Real Estate Capital Markets
- FNCE 5534 Real Estate Markets
- FNCE 5894 Real Estate Law
In addition, all students must pursue at least 3 credits of a 5000-level Management course.
