Leonard S. Borriello
MBA Class of 2018
Bio: I am an assertive, charismatic, driven individual with a work philosophy grounded in attention to detail and meticulous focus. I work extremely well in group settings but am completely comfortable handling projects on my own. I enjoy tackling challenges and being put into situations that force me to use my imagination and creativity to problem solve.
Upon graduating Drexel University in 2012, after finishing my service in the U.S. Navy, I was accepted into the JPMorganChase Corporate Leadership Development Program. Over a three year period, this rotational program cycled me through a few of the organization’s departments, including Corporate Operations, Marketing and Compliance, exposing me to the various facets of the bank’s operations.
Towards the end of my Compliance rotation, I realized how much I enjoyed the work I was doing and decided that I would like to get an MBA to enhance my business acumen. In order to gain a global perspective that would inhance my MBA experience, I planned a two year backpacking trip across Europe and Asia, covering 35 countries, that I would complete before beginning my graduate degree. After reaching Asia, I began the MBA application process and accepted an offer to join the UCONN 2018 MBA.
Concentration: General Business with a concentration in Management and Compliance.
Career Focus: I plan to utilize my MBA to obtain employment with a global company in the compliance or consulting industry.
